Hotels and Theatres in Hessen - Germany 

Hessen is one of the 16 states in the Federal Republic of Germany, with a little over six million in population and a little over 21,000 km squared in size. The largest city in Hessen (Hesse in English) is Frankfurt am Main which is also the fifth largest city in the whole of Germany. Frankfurt (as it is more commonly known internationally) is a vibrant city that contributes the largest share to the Rhine Main area of central Germany.  The other major cities in the state of Hessen include Wiesbaden, Darmstadt, Offenbach, Hanau, Giessen, Wetzlar and Limburg. These populous cities together with some beautiful hilly and mountainous regions, mean that there are many hotels all throughout Hessen. Some of the bigger cities have some great theatre destinations where travelers and locals alike can enjoy a show.

Frankfurt is a major international city that offers the entire range of hotel and entertainment choices for visitors to enjoy. Every type of accommodation option is available in Frankfurt, from budget hotels to exclusive five star accommodation. All of the other cities that I mentioned are rather large locations as well and offer travellers almost as many choices as Frankfurt. Finding a suitable Hotel Hessen location will probably be the easiest part of a trip to the state of Hessen, the Greenline hotels are worth a special mention. When you are booking into your accommodation it may be worth while finding a central spot so that you can easily enjoy some of the many entertainment options available in Hessen, especially notable is the theatre of the area.

Hessen has a great theatre scene that is extremely diverse and very exciting. The entire range of theatre options are available to see in Hessen, from modern plays to traditional opera and classical dramas. You can also easily catch some classical ballet, experimental modern dance troupes or children's theatre groups in action. Of course, the bigger the city you are staying in the more choices you will have for entertainment options, with the populated Rhein Main area having the most theatre in the state. This area has such a large concentration of big cities such as Frankfurt, Wiesbaden and Darmstadt that many different theatre groups can coexist easily.

There are state theatres in the cities of Darmstadt, Kassel and Wiesbaden which offer a wide range of theatre events suitable for a number of different age groups. The Stadtische theatre in Frankfurt is also worth mentioning as it is internationally famous for its operas and its many other diverse productions including modern dance. Most of the major Hessen cities have a great theatre presence, and if you are a theatre buff this is surely one of the best places to go on a vacation.
